BEAR # 169 ARTIST: SHARON QUEEN of
QUEEN BEARS
SOLD
Beans is an
unusual two-tone teddy
made of black and tan mohair by Oregon artist Sharon Queen, who started sewing
in earnest in 1982 when her daughter was born. When she started using
mohair in 1989, she began selling bears to collectors around the world.
Beans has black glass eyes, a black embroidered nose and mouth, and trimmed
muzzle and paw pads. The two toned face, along with his large stand up
ears, give this little 8" bear a unique look. He got a ring of tan fur
around his neck, and wears a leather collar that bears his name and birth date
(1997), in addition to "Queen Bears."
Hi! My name is Beans.
Let's take a walk.
I think my face is sweet,
don't you?
Did you hear that?

collar.
