BEAR # 219     ARTIST: GAIL COOPER      SOLD
This is a very special teddy bear and book combination.  Gale Cooper wrote and illustrated Meerly A. Bair, released for publication in 1988.  It tells the story of Meerly and Anna, and includes illustrations such as the sample below.  In addition, Gale created a 21" teddy bear to go with it.  He's made of dark brown fur, with tan fur around his eyes and snout.  Fully jointed, he has black glass eyes, a black plastic nose, and black embroidered mouth.  He's wearing a yellow knit shirt with a roller skating bear monogram.  Meerly also wears plaid pants and saddle shoes.  The book is an autographed limited edition first release.  Gale also autographed the bottom of Meerly's shoe to the original owner and dated it October 14, 1989.  Meerly stands on his own, with no support.
