BEAR # 230     ARTIST: MARGIE GEORGE of BY GEORGE     SOLD
Margie George is a middle Tennessee bear artist whose creations have a signature large and turned up nose.  This 6" fully jointed bear is made of beige mohair.  He has glass eyes, felt paw pads, a shaved muzzle, and a big brown embroidered turned up nose — what we call "the George nose."  He wears a red striped bow.  He's firmly stuffed and dated 1987 on the sewn in tag.  Margie has autographed his foot "By George."
Hi!  How are you? You mean everyone doesn't have a nose like mine? Graham crackers are my favorite snack.

 
And I like chocolate milk with my grahams. I'm not real tall, but I can run pretty fast. My autographed foot. Sewn in tag.

This bear is a big one, 19" tall.  He's fully jointed and made of a curly dark brown fur.  He has glass eyes, a shaved muzzle, and of course the big "George nose."  His ears are set low on his head.  He's got brown velvet paw pads and wears a blue and black striped bow.
Hi!  Have you ever been to Tennessee? I'm so tall that not many bears look at me eyeball to eyeball. Here's the view most of my bear friends get.
You can tell my By George bear cousins by their noses. Want to shoot some baskets? My sewn in tag on my foot.
