BEAR # 108 ARTIST: JIM & SALLY STEARNS of
STEARNSY BEARS
SOLD
Bootsey Brown, like all Stearnsy Bears, is one of a kind bear. Like it says on the family's web
site, "if you have a Stearnsy, no one else has one like it." That's because
since they started making bears in 1981, Jim & Sally Stearns always took care to
never repeat a bear. According to the tag, Bootsey
Brown was born with a silver spoon in her paw. And it's still there!
This dark brown bear is fully jointed and stands 13 1/2" tall. She's
wearing a white antique dress over a slip, with a delicate
pink bow at the neck. She tops it off with a floppy old hat with an
eyelet-covered brim and
a pink flower. She has black glass eyes, black embroidered nose and
mouth, and suede paw pads.
Look at this face!
How do you like my hat?
Isn't my dress nice?
I'm fully jointed.
I use safety pins
to fasten my dress.
This is my silver spoon.
My original tag.
BEAR # 112 ARTIST: JIM & SALLY STEARNS of STEARNSY
BEARS
SOLD
This impressive 16" light
brown Stearnsy Bear is ready for winter in his favorite old sweater and knit cap.
With brown/black eyes and black embroidered nose and mouth, he has suede paw
pads. He has lost his original tag, so we don't know his name.
The old clothes the Stearns put on this bear show their age, and a couple of
moth holes.
