BEAR # 241            ARTIST: GUND            SOLD
German immigrant Adolph Gund started what is now the leading soft toy manufacturer in the U.S. in 1898 in Norwalk, CT.  It was one of the first companies to produce teddy bears, back in the early 1900s.  This fully jointed 12" bear has glass eyes, brown embroidered nose and mouth, and a shaved muzzle.  His paw pads are a little beige fur.  He's wearing a white shirt and tie with his black velvet tuxedo and tails.  His tag dates him from 1982.
Hi! Do you like my tux? How about my tie? Even in my tux I'm still soft and cuddly.
I don't have a tail, but I have tails. My sewn in tag.

BEAR # 242           ARTIST: GUND TINY TALES COLLECTOR'S CLASSIC            SOLD

This is a pair of fully jointed 6"teddy bears from 1985.  They have brown glass eyes, brown embroidered nose and mouth, and tiny cute tails.  He wears a short knit jacket, while she wears a knit sweater and a pink bow on her ear.
