BEAR # 170     ARTIST: HAZEL METZLER     SOLD

Alabama artist Hazel Metzler made a variety of critters, selling them at flea markets and shows around the South in the mid-1980s.  This is a 21" fully jointed bear made of a dark brown acrylic.  He has glass eyes, black embroidered nose, trimmed muzzle, and ultra suede paw pads.  He wears an orange cotton bow.
Hi! I hail from Alabama.  Where are you from? How about a hug? Then we'll get a bite to eat.

I have to admit that eating is my favorite pasttime. My sewn in tag.

BEAR # 171     ARTIST: HAZEL METZLER     SOLD

Absolutely not a bear!  This is one of Hazel's antiqued cloth pigs.  He's dressed in his engineer's outfit -- blue shirt, blue and white striped bib overalls and cap, and a red bandana.  His eyes and mouth are embroidered.  He's 17" tall.  He's not jointed, but he is autographed, numbered, and dated by Hazel.
All aboard! Without my cap. I'm ready for a hug.

BEAR # 172     ARTIST: HAZEL METZLER     SOLD

This is another one of Hazel's antiqued cloth pigs.  She's dressed in her blue print dress, antiqued apron, white bonnet and bloomers.  Her eyes and mouth are embroidered.  She's 17" tall and unjointed.  She is also autographed, numbered, and dated by Hazel.

I've been out in the garden. But dinner will be ready shortly. I could use a hug, too.
