BEAR # 105     CELESTIAL SEASONINGS SLEEPYTIME BEAR & ROCKER     SOLD
This is an advertising and promotional teddy bear from Celestial Seasonings, the people who bring you all those teas.  The company's Sleepytime Herb Tea features this gentle little bear on its box.  On its web site, Celestial Seasonings  says this tea "lets you curl up under a quilt of flavor and quiet the tensions of your world. The part of your day shared with Sleepytime is like coming home to find a friend waiting for you by the fire."  Well, here's the friend.  The company promoted the tea with a limited edition of the Sleepytime mascot.  We got this one (and his rocking chair) from a friend who worked for Celestial Seasonings in Colorado.  Sleepy is an 18" bear, unjointed, with bent legs, plastic nose, and embroidered eyes (shut, of course).  He wears an embroidered night shirt and a red night cap.  His sewn in tag indicates that he one of a limited edition of 5,000.  The wooden rocker came with him as a kit, and will accompany Sleepy Bear when he comes to your house.
I love a nice cup of herb tea, don't you? Nothing beats sitting in my rocker after a cup of tea.
My night shirt is embroidered. My very own rocker.  It's great for a snooze.
